Entering the apartment one is greeted by a beautiful Florence Broadhurst wallpaper design that is actually a reflection in the bronzed mirror. The rich dark hues of the entry, which includes dark oak stained bamboo flooring, are magically counterbalanced by the full height mirrored wall. Uniting formerly disparate interior and exterior balcony spaces to maximise the apparent space was key to the refurbishment of this apartment. To define the areas without breaking the flow, a raised timber deck was utilised to negate the awkward threshold. Painting the two storey living room and exterior balcony walls white, has visually extended the interior to meet and highlight the old factory brickwork of the external facade. Up lighting in the deck focus on this feature, and billowing curtains create privacy while adding an air of romance, sparking just the right mood for entertaining. The considered result of all these elements has enlarged the space and light into an interior that is understated, peaceful and nurturing.
